What this tool does — and what it does not do

AI image generators turn a written description — a prompt — into a picture. The hard part for most people is not the generator; it is knowing what to write. A vague prompt ("a wolf") gives a vague picture. This tool asks you nine quick questions and assembles a detailed, correctly formatted prompt for the generator you use: Midjourney (with its parameters), ChatGPT / DALL·E style tools (natural language), or Stable Diffusion (with a negative prompt). To be clear about what it is: this tool writes prompts; it does not generate images itself. You paste the prompt into an image generator — several good ones are free, and the guide below lists them — and the image is created there in seconds. Unlike most prompt tools, this one is unlimited and needs no sign-up.

How to use it

  1. Pick what you are making. The use case matters: a tattoo design prompt needs "clean line art on a white background", a profile picture needs "head and shoulders, centered" — the builder adds the right phrases for you.
  2. Describe the subject in plain words. Who or what, doing what, where. "A geometric wolf head with a crescent moon" beats "wolf".
  3. Add style, mood and light only where they help. Every extra phrase steers the result; leave a setting on "any" when you do not care.
  4. Copy, paste, generate. Paste the prompt into your generator. If the first result is close but not right, change ONE thing — the mood, the lighting or the style — and run it again. Small changes beat rewriting everything.

Where to paste your prompt: free AI image generators

You do not need to pay to make AI images. These services have free options at the time of writing (free tiers change, so check each site): ChatGPT — image generation is built into the chat, and free accounts get a limited number of images; Microsoft Image Creator (in Bing / Microsoft Designer) — free with a Microsoft account; Leonardo AI — a daily allowance of free tokens; Ideogram — a free tier that is unusually good at putting text inside images; Perchance — free with no sign-up at all. Our companion guide, How to Generate AI Images for Free, walks through your very first image step by step. For tattoos specifically, AI Tattoo Design Prompts has 40 ready-made ideas by style.

Five rules for better AI images

  1. One subject, clearly named. Two competing subjects split the model's attention and muddle both.
  2. Say the medium out loud. "Photograph", "oil painting" and "line art" produce completely different pictures from the same subject.
  3. Light is half the picture. Golden hour, studio light and neon each set a mood before anything else does.
  4. Text inside images is still fragile. Keep any words in the image to two or three, in quotes — or add text afterwards in an editor.
  5. Iterate, do not restart. Keep the prompt that almost worked and change one variable at a time.

Frequently asked questions

Does this tool generate the image? No — it generates the prompt. That honesty matters: the image itself is made by whichever AI generator you paste the prompt into, and several of those are free.

Is it really unlimited and free? Yes. Building a prompt is just text assembly in your browser, so there is no daily cap and no account — unlike image-to-prompt services that spend GPU time on every request.

Which generators do these prompts work with? The Midjourney format includes its aspect-ratio and version parameters; the natural-language format suits ChatGPT, DALL·E, Firefly and Leonardo; the Stable Diffusion format adds a negative prompt. The same wording also works in most other generators.

What is a negative prompt? A list of things the generator should avoid — blur, deformed hands, watermarks and so on. Stable Diffusion tools have a dedicated field for it; the builder fills it in for you, including extras for the use case you picked.

Can I sell images I make with these prompts? The prompts are yours to use freely. Whether the resulting image can be sold depends on the terms of the generator you used — most paid plans allow commercial use, free tiers vary, so check before selling.
